Religious Education Youth  //  Our Whole Lives (OWL)
Our Whole Lives (OWL)

We offer OWL, a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum, for a variety of ages.

The OWL program is designed to help participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior, and equip participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas:

  • human development
  • relationships
  • personal skills
  • sexual behavior
  • sexual health
  • society and culture

Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, OWL provides not only facts about anatomy and human development, but helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.

We have seven members of our congregation who have been certified to teach our OWL classes. This year we will offer OWL for children in 4th -5th grade in April and May; and 7th-9th grade youth, from January - March.

Attendance at a parent orientation is required.
