7:30pm Refresments

Rev. Don Beaudreault presented a Jazz Piano Concert with the able accompaniment of Richard Chay and Jeff Phillips on Saturday, October 20.  This non-profit event raised money for the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Endowment Fund.

1:30pm Register

Countryside is the host for the Palatine area CROP Hunger Walk. The walk is 3K or 5K (1.25 or 3 miles) through the local neighborhoods and park district. This is an easy and fun outing for families. We will provide refreshments for walkers.

The Corn Roast is an annual event at Countryside Church and this year it was a particularly "green" event. The corn husks and cobs that were waste to us became pig feed for a local farmer. We also gave the farmer the compostable plates, vegetable matter, and brown paper tablecloths that would otherwise be in a landfill.

This year, $1,950 in proceeds was donated to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee Darfur Relief Fund. An additional $825 was raised to support the operating budget of the Social Action Committee at Countryside. The money will be used to fund various social action activities this year.
